The 24th Annual Ramp Festival was held May 09, 2009 at the Flag Pond Community Center in what used to be the Flag Pond Elementary School. Everyone enjoyed the entertainment, the Raw Ramp Eating Contest, and eating Fried ‘taters and ramps, soup beans, cornbread, bacon, and coleslaw, and dessert. Family and friends, old and new visitors, gather here to enjoy the Flag Pond Ramp festival, now a long-standing event in the Flag Pond community.
